The Half and the Whole

The Crustolics keep a ritual called the Half-and-Half Harmony: two people who cannot agree on toppings do not go hungry and they do not go to war. They share one pizza, divided down the middle, and they eat side by side.

This is the whole of the faith in a single supper. You need not agree on everything to share a table. You need only agree that no one leaves it hungry.

Find someone this week whose half you would never choose. Order the pizza anyway.
